The Bulldogs won 83-67 on Saturday over the St. Andrew's Knights.
Three times, Wesleyan built 10-point leads in the first half and was up by seven at the intermission, 34-27. St. Andrews needed just two minutes to knot the score at 36 as the second half got under way. The game was even at 39, 43, 45 and, finally, at 52. Devante Jenkins scored twice inside and hit two free throws; Tyler Burse had a layup and Dante Turnipseed knocked down a triple in an 11-1 run that gave Wesleyan a 63-53 lead with 7:23 to play. The Knights never came closer than six points again.
The Bulldogs have Wednesday off with the Lady Bulldogs playing at Columbia, but will return to action at home on Saturday against Bryan College at 4:00 pm.
