The Lady Bulldogs hosted Bryan College on Saturday for their final home game of the season. TWC celebrated senior day with a win. The 58-42 win over the Lady Lions clinched the AAC regular season title for the Lady Bulldogs, which also gave them a ticket to the NAIA Division II National Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa.
The Lady Bulldogs only trailed once, 9-8, before Bailey Lyness buried a 3-pointer at the 11:49 mark. Armeka Booker netted five points; Shira Buley six, Cody Houck two and Alli Moreland's 3-pointer put the Lady Bulldogs on top, 29-17, at the intermission. Alli Moreland's "3" among five points, a triple from Lyness and bucket by Booker padded the margin to 20, 39-19, five minutes into the second half. Two Booker free throws widened the gap to 23, 43-20, with 10 minutes to play. Bryan rallied to climb within 12 with three minutes remaining, but would get no closer.
Booker paced three Lady Bulldogs in double figures with 17 points and collected 14 rebounds. Moreland had 15 points; Buley 10 points, eight assists, nine rebounds and Houck seven points, 10 rebounds.
The Lady Bulldogs travel to Virginia Intermont on Wednesday for a 5:30 pm game.
