The Lady Bulldogs (1-0) prevailed over Johnson University, 8-1, forfeiting at No. 6 singles and dropping just one game.
In doubles, the teams of Ekaterina Vezhenkova/Tatum McMahon, Jayden Morrison/Beatriz Signori and Wendi Watson/Rachel Walker each won, 8-0. In singles, Vezhenkova, Signori, Watson and Walker each won, 6-0, while McMahon won, 6-0, 6-1.
The Lady Bulldogs then traveled to Campbellsville on Saturday and were defeated 5-4.
The Tigers clinched the match at # 6 singles when Haley Dallas (Campbellsville University) defeated Rachael Walker (TWC) 6-3, 6-2. The Lady Bulldogs picked up victories at #1 doubles (Beatrize Signori/Ekaterina Vezhenkova) #1 Singles Ekaterina Vezhenkova, # 2 Singles Beatrize Signori, #3 singles Tatum McMahon. Coach LaRue stated that "he was very proud of the girls team, they fought thru the whole match. Campbellsville just had a little more depth than we did. I believe we found out today what it takes to live up to the potential! I was very proud of freshman Rachael Walker and Wendi Watson, that was a tough spot for them to be in at #5 and #6 singles, and even though they did not win, they held there compusure and battled to the very end."
