The Bulldogs hosted Reinhardt University for their second conference weekend. Tennessee Wesleyan were defeated on Friday in the nine inning game, 4-2, and then on Saturday in the second game, 3-0. The Bulldogs won the first game of the doubleheader on Saturday, 8-3.

The Bulldogs are now 4-2 in the conference and 11-10-1 overall.

On Friday, Josh Clemen gave up a first-inning run and another in the sixth before surrendering a two-run homer in the eighth.  Tennessee Wesleyan had just three hits through the first seven innings and didn't have a baserunner reach second base until the seventh.

The Bulldogs cut the deficit in half with two runs in the eighth on singles from David Donald, Shell McCain and James Boddicker, along with two Reinhardt errors.

Logan Longwith pitched a scoreless ninth, but the Bulldogs went quietly in the bottom of the inning.  Of the 27 outs by Wesleyan, 14 came on fly balls and six by strikeout.  Clemen took the loss, allowing four runs on seven hits with four strikeouts, one walk and one hit-batsman.

McCain had two hits, a run scored and an RBI. Boddicker added two hits and an RBI.

On Saturday, Brent Adheen started for the Bulldogs and held the Eagles to one run through the first five innings. Doubles by James Boddicker and Matt Malloy and a single from McCain gave TWC two first-inning runs. Wes Minton's double and Branden Walker's hit made it 3-0 after two innings.

Reinhardt put up a run in the third.  A Boddicker double, a walk and a Donald single had the bases loaded with two outs and catcher, Bryon Haag, launched a long drive over the left centerfield fence for a grandslam.  The Bulldogs led 7-1. K.J. Hockaday hit a single and Josh McCray double-upped the lead to 8-1.  Adheen gave up a run in the sixth and another in the seventh before reliever Ty Powell came on to strike out the final two batters.

Adheen went 6 1/3 innings, allowing three runs (only one earned) on seven hits with four strikeouts and one walk.

Walker had two hits, RBI; Boddicker two hits, two runs scored and Haag a hit, four RBIs.

Alex Pridemore started the final game for the Bulldogs. In the sixth inning with two outs, a hit-batsman and a walk, followed by a single Reinhardt came out on top, 1-0.

Pridemore then gave up a run on two hits and an error in the seventh and reliever Brandon Landrie allowed a run before getting the final three outs.

Pridemore surrendered two runs on seven hits with five strikeouts, one walk and one hit-batsman.

Tennessee Wesleyan had just four hits, all singles.

The Bulldogs will host Southern Poly on Wednesday at 2:00 pm for a doubleheader.
