The Bulldogs finished nine strokes ahead of the field with a 36-hole team total of 599 (295-304) to win the Trevecca Nazarene University Invitational held in Nashville on Monday and Tuesday. Trevecca and Cumberland University tied for second with a 608. They were followed in order by Union University (610), Kentucky Wesleyan (613), Cedarville University (620), Taylor University (627), Davis and Elkins College (631), Ohio Valley (633) and Alderson Broaddus University (654).
Josh Wheeler led the Bulldogs and earned medalist honors with a 147, recording rounds of 73 and 74. Travis Rodgers tied for a second with a 148 (72-76); Zack Acuff tied for ninth at 151 (75-76); Evan Ball tied for 21st at 156 (75-81) and Zack Hester tied for 39th at 160 (82-78).
The Bulldogs will play again on Monday and Tuesday, March 31-April 1, in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Spring Championship at Lake Tansi in Crossville.
