The Lady Bulldogs hosted the Tennessee Wesleyan College Spring Invitational and were able to cut 26 strokes off their opening round of 353, shooting a round-low 327 on day two to pull even with Reinhardt University for second place at 680, but fell three shots short of tournament winner Southeastern University at 677 (337-340). The top three were followed in order by Cumberland University (706), Columbia College (758), Virginia-Wise (773), Bryan College (775), Tennessee Wesleyan Gold (777) and Taylor University (818).
Logan Cass carded a 163 (86-77) and placed second overall to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Lexi Stewart was third at 165 (88-77); Stephanie Carr was 11th at 174 (91-83); Kinsley Vincent was 17th at 180 (88-92) and Abby Dukes was 19th at 181 (91-90).
Also playing was the Tennessee Wesleyan Gold team which included Alexis Spalding (99-94); Brittani Pederson (99-96); Gillian Roberts (95-101); Julie Keener (96-103); and Amy Langley (104-97).
The TWC women will participate in the Milligan College Spring Invitational Monday and Tuesday, April 7-8.
