ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Reinhardt is the favorite to win the 2014 Appalachian Athletic Conference Women's Soccer championship, according to the AAC Preseason Coaches' Poll released on Tuesday.

Reinhardt won both the regular-season and tournament championships in 2013, going 15-4-2 overall and 8-0-2 in conference play. Reinhardt advanced to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round.

Receiving nine of the possible 11 first-place votes, Reinhardt collected to 107 total voting points. Montreat is projected to finish second as it garnered 96 voting points and one first-place vote. Truett-McConnell picked up the remaining first-place vote to land third with 81 points.

Tennessee Wesleyan and Columbia round out the top five with 77 and 62 points, respectively.

Making up the rest of the poll are: Milligan (60 points), Union (57 points), Bluefield and St. Andrews (tied with 37 points), Point (26 points) and Bryan (21 points).

The 2014 AAC Tournament is set to begin on Nov. 5 with two play-in games. The quarterfinal round is set for Nov. 8 with the semifinal and championship rounds scheduled for Nov. 13 and 15. Locations of the games will be determined at a later date.
