The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Bluefield for a conference matchup on Thursday sweeping Bluefield 14-0 and 3-1.  Brittany Fox completed both games giving up only five hits while striking out a total of 17 Bluefield batters over 12 innings of play. The Lady Bulldogs end the regular season 20-22 overall and 8-8 in the AAC. The AAC Tournament begins on April 29.

In game one the Lady Bulldogs took the field taking care of business in five innings with the score 14-0. The Lady Bulldogs were ahead 5-0 going into the fourth when they scored nine runs. Brittany Fox pitched a complete game shutout giving up three hits while striking out eight.  The Lady Bulldogs pounded out 15 hits against the Bluefield pitcher.  Megan Arndts was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Kanissa Webb was 2-for-3 with two doubles and five RBIs. Rachele Moretto was 2-for-4 with one RBI.  Elisha Collins was 1-for-2 with an RBI. Ashton Burrell was 1-for-3 and Heather Gibson was 2-for-3.  Sunni Jackson was 3-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Brittnie Hester and Chealsey Baxter added on hit each.

The score in game two was a little different; however the Lady Bulldogs won 3-1.  The Lady 'Dogs were ahead 3-0 going into the bottom of the third before Bluefield scored their only run in the third.  Bluefield held the Lady Bulldogs scoreless thru the next five innings. Brittany Fox was the winning pitcher.  Again, Fox pitched the complete seven inning game giving up two hits, allowing one run, no walks while striking out nine. Megan Arndts was 1-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Ashton Burrell was 1-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Sunni Jackson was 2-for-3 and Cheasley Baxter was 1-for-3.
