ATHENS, Tenn. – Defending AAC regular season champion Tennessee Wesleyan was picked to win the Appalachian Athletic Conference baseball regular season in a poll of league coaches released Tuesday by league officials.
The Bulldogs received six first-place votes and 88 total points, edging out Bryan College for first place with 75 points and two first-place votes. The other two remaining first-place votes went to the Eagles of Reinhardt University with 57 points.
Head coach Billy Berry enters his 10th season at the helm of the program with a 388-154-1 overall record. The Bulldogs have won 8 regular season conference titles and 7 league tournament championships in that span.
Union College was selected fourth in the coaches' voting with 53 points, while Point University and Milligan College were fifth and sixth, respectively, with 48 and 44 points. St. Andrews was picked seventh followed by Bluefield College, Montreat College and the Truett-McConnell University.
