ATHENS, Tenn. – Nick Sanchez, Dillon Dove, and Ty Fowler have signed with the Tennessee Wesleyan College baseball team for the upcoming 2015 season, announced Head Coach Billy Berry.
Sanchez, is a right-handed pitcher from Lakewood, California, and comes most recently from Sterling College where he was a redshirt junior.
Dove, a left-hander, is from Las Vegas, Nevada, and comes to Tennessee Wesleyan from the University of Northern Colorado.
Fowler, is right-handed pitcher from Cartersville, Georgia, he spent his freshman season at Georgia Highlands Community College prior to joining the Bulldogs.
Sanchez attended El Camino College Compton Center where he earned All South Coast Conference as a freshman and a sophomore. In his two seasons on the mound Sanchez threw 160.2 innings with a 16-5 record and 139 strikeouts. This past summer Sanchez played for Top Speed baseball and was rated the 5th best professional prospect in the Golden State League by Baseball America.
Dove spent the last two seasons on the mound for the College of Southern Idaho. As a Golden Eagle, Dove combined for a 4-4 record in 75.4 innings of work, with 50 strikeouts. Dillon spent the summer in the West Coast League for the Walla Walla Sweets. In 31.1 innings pitched he had a 2-3 record with 15 strikeouts.
Fowler graduated from Cartersville High School in Cartersville, Georgia. Rated as a high follow nationally by perfect game he was also rated as the 132nd best prospect in the state of Georgia. In his senior season he was selected honorable mention All-Southeast by the same publication. He spent the 2014 season at Georgia Highlands and was used primarily as a catcher.
