TWC hosted Bluefield College on Wednesday night and gave one of their better performances of the season, never trailing in the game, leading by as much as 26, and having four players in double figures.
The Bulldogs started off the game with a "3" by Leland Robinson and then went on a 14-2 run. The Bulldogs slowly extended their lead until they had their largest lead of the game at 26 points when Arden Beeler made a three off an assist by Stephen Kite with 6:34 remaining in the first half. At intermission, TWC lead 54-34.
Although in the last three minutes, Bluefield tried to make a comeback, the deficit was too large and the Bulldogs won 87-75.
Stephen Kite had 22 points including 4 "3's" for the Bulldogs. Also in double figures was Leland Robinson with 18 points, Dante Turnipseed with 15, and Charles White with 10. Devante Jenkins pulled down 13 rebounds for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs are now 11-12 overall and 6-9 in the AAC.
TWC will travel to St. Andrews this weekend for a 2:00 pm tip off and then travel to Hiwassee College on Monday night to play at 7:30 pm.
