The Lady Bulldogs softball season has come to a close finishing 8-8 in conference play and 22-24 overall.  The Lady Bulldogs defeated Virginia Intermont in their third game 9-3 and had to suffer a heartbreak loss in the fourth game when Union won 1-0. 
In game three vs. Virginia Intermont the Lady Bulldogs pounded out 10 hits to score nine runs in the win by a score of 9-3.  The Lady Bulldogs put two runs on the board in the first inning.  Megan Arndts doubled to center field and Heather Gibson singled to center scoring Arndts.  Gibson advanced to second on the throw.  Rachele Moretto doubled to right center scoring Gibson.  Two more runs scored in the second when Elisha Collins doubled to right center scoring Myranda Hughes  and Kanissa Webb who had singled up the middle to lead off the inning. The Lady Bulldogs added three more runs in the bottom of the fourth.  Ashton Burrell singled to left field and Collins drew a walk.  Arndts reached on a fielders choice. With two outs Moretto walked and Sunni Jackson doubled to left field scoring Arndts and Collins. Moretto scored and Jackson advanced to third on a wild pitch. Held scoreless thru five innings VI scored two runs on three hits in the top of the 6th.  But TWC answered with two more runs when Collins doubled to left and Arndts walked.  Amber Cofer came in to pinch hit for Moretto and singled through the left side scoring Arndts and Collins. VI added one more run in the 7th.
 
Page Goins was the winning pitcher going six innings allowing five hits, two runs, two walks while striking out four.  Lindsey Brown pitched inning seven giving up two hits and one run, one walk and one strikeout.  Burrell was 1-for-3, Collins 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Arndts was 1-for-2, Gibson ws 1-for-2 with one RBI, Moretto was 1-for-2 with one RBI, Cofer was 1-for-1 with two RBIs, Jackson was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Webb was 1-for-4.  
 
In game four vs. Union the game was scoreless thru four innings before Union scored the only run of the game in the fifth.  The leftfielder for Union doubled down the rightfield line and another double scored the run.  The Lady Bulldogs had three hits one by Arndts, Webb and Hughes.  Five runners were left on base.  Brittany Fox was the losing pitcher giving up six hits, one run while striking our four.
