MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Tennessee Wesleyan fell 3-0 to host Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) in the NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round - Auburn Montgomery Bracket.
The fourth-seeded Lady Bulldogs were limited to only two hits on the day, both provided by Stephanie Bridges.
Pitcher Brittany Kilduff only surrendered four hits to the top-seeded Warhawks. However, five walks proved costly.
AUM scored a run off a Jade Sasser RBI single in the first inning to take the early 1-0 advantage. In the fourth, AUM tacked on two more runs for a 3-0 cushion.
Tennessee Wesleyan will face No. 3 seed Georgia Gwinnett at 3:30 p.m. CDT in an elimination game on Tuesday. If victorious, TWC will play again at 6 p.m. CDT.
