Asheville, NC: The NAIA has announced the 2015 Baseball America Teams,selected by the Baseball Coaches Association All America Committee. TWC had two players honored with one making the first team and one receiving an honorable mention.
Ridge Hoopi-Haslam earned a spot on the first team, while Wardy Polanco rounded out things with an honorable mention. Both garnered All-AAC First Team honors with Hoopi-Haslam being named the Player of the Year and Palanco being named Newcomer of the Year.
Hoopi-Haslam finished second in the conference in batting average (.398) and ranked third in the NAIA in slugging percentage (.806). He ended the year with 23 doubles, five triples and 15 home runs. He also batted in 61 RBIs. He was named the AAC Player of the Week twice, making him the only player to win it more than once this season.
Polanco batted .417 to lead the AAC and had with 15 doubles, six triples, 14 home runs and 58 RBIs. He also posted a .776 slugging percentage. He ranked nationally in the top 50 in 17 statistical categories. Polanco earned the AAC Player of the Week award once this season.
