NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Wesleyan's Leland Robinson was named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week, averaging 27.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game in two conference victories for the Bulldogs.
The Jackson, Tenn., native posted 25 points and 13 boards along with four assists in a 76-65 win against Bluefield College, making 11-of-20 field goal attempts in the contest. The 6-foot-6 senior netted 29 points with 11 rebounds versus Reinhardt University, connecting on 11-of-22 shots overall.
Robinson is averaging 21.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game this season for Tennessee Wesleyan, which stands 6-1 overall and 4-1 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
