The Bulldogs hosted Truett McConnell on Saturday. The Bears of Truett came out hot to start the game but fell flat in the 2nd half to give the Bulldogs, 76-46 win.
Tennessee Wesleyan was down, 28-19, at the 8:46 mark. Bryson Baker started the rally with a "3" and Trey Suttles had a trey. Tre Tiller tossed in 6 points and Justin Simmons a dunk as TWC slipped in front, 33-28. Suttles drained another 3-pointer as time expired, helping the Bulldogs to lead, 43-34, at the break.
The gap was just seven when TWC put the game away. Devante Jenkins had a pair of three-point plays among 8 points; Suttles a trey with 7 points; Matt Brown 4 points; Jordan Hall a 3-pointer and buckets from Tiller and Ikeem Bergeron as the lead ballooned to 32, 72-40, with 6:55 remaining.
Jenkins had a team-high 20 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Suttles netted 19 points and Tre Tiller 10.
The Bulldogs will travel to Wofford on Tuesday and then Milligan on Thursday before returning home to face Montreat on Saturday.
