Birmingham, Al. – Tennessee Wesleyan College women's track and field team competed this past Sunday (the 24th) at the Emory Crossplex Invitational, where the team finished 11th overall in the collegiate division standings.
Sophomore Rachel Lawhown broke her own school record she set last weekend in the shot put. Lawhorn won the collegiate shot put with a throw of 12.07-meters.
Relay squad of junior Leah Chance, sophomore Karlie Yinger, sophomore Sierra Knighten, and sophomore Hannah Rhodes finished 4th in the collegiate distance medley relay. Their finishing time was 13:09.71.
Freshman Aly McNulty helped add team points with her 7th place finish in the high jump. McNulty finished with a jump of 1.52m.
The Bulldogs will take a weekend off before heading to East Tennessee State University for the ETSU Buccaneer Invitational. The meet is scheduled to start at 9:45 AM on Friday, February 5th.
