The Bulldogs increased their winning streak to 16 on Wednesday night after defeating the Eagles of Reinhardt 103-82. Tennessee Wesleyan still leads the AAC with an 11-1 record. Union is right behind them with a 9-1 record, while Milligan sits in 3rd at 7-5.
Tied at four, Tennessee Wesleyan spent the next six minutes on a 23-7 run and was never seriously threatened again. Devante Jenkins converted a three-point play among nine points and Leland Robinson added six points to lead the way. Trey Suttles, Tre Tiller and Wesley Richey chipped in with two points each and the Bulldogs led, 27-11.
The gap dipped to 10, grew to 17 and stood at 13 when Tennessee Wesleyan ended the half with eight unanswered points, two each from Charles White, Justin Simmons, Richey and Jordan Hall, widening the intermission advantage to 21, 60-39.
Reinhardt never came closer than 17 points and Wesleyan led by as many as 25 in the second half.
Devante Jenkins tallied a season-high 26 points and collected 17 rebounds. Leland Robinson netted 23 points with nine boards; Charles White 13 points, eight assists; Tre Tiller 10 points and Trey Suttles 7 points, eight rebounds, five assists.
The Bulldogs travel to Dayton on Saturday to play AAC foe Bryan College at 4:00 pm and then return home on Monday to play Vorhees at 6:00 pm. Wednesday TWC will host Point University at 7:30 pm.
