Johnson City, Tenn. – Tennessee Wesleyan Lady Bulldogs 4x400-meter relay squad set a school record this past weekend (Feb. 5-6th) at the ETSU Buccaneer Invitational, hosted by East Tennessee State University.
The relay squad consisted of senior Beth Sexton, senior Justina Jones, freshman Alexandria Johnson, and freshman Els Hooijdonk. The relay team finish 23rd overall with a finishing time of 4:13.21, which is three seconds faster than the previous school record.
Junior Leah Chance earned a top-10 finish in the 3000-meter run. Chance finished ninth overall with a finishing time of 10:51.03.
Tennessee Wesleyan returns to action on Saturday (Feb. 20) to participate at the UCS Invitational at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
