The National Women's Lacrosse League announced Monday the fifth Offensive Player of the Week for the 2016 season. Jasmine Hickman of Tennessee Wesleyan has been named the Offensive Player of the Week. Hickman was also named as this week's AAC Player of the Week.
Hickman, a junior midfielder from Sevierville, Tenn., led the Lady Bulldogs to a 3-0 week. In a 20-9 victory over Shorter, Hickman finished with five goals and two assists, to go along with 15 draw controls and 12 groundballs. Two days later in a 20-9 victory over Reinhardt, Hickman grabbed 11 groundballs, 11 draw controls, and forced two turnovers. She also netted five goals and dished out three assists. To finish off the week, Hickman found the back of the net four times, grabbed seven groundballs, and caused two turnovers in the Lady Bulldogs 19-2 victory over St. Andrews. Hickman finished the week with 14 goals, five assists, 30 groundballs, 26 draw controls, and four caused turnovers.
