After two tough losses on Monday, the Lady Bulldogs bounced back to defeat the Lady Crusaders of Tennessee Temple on Thursday. TWC won the match 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-17). Brittany Adams led the Lady Bulldogs with seven kills while Whitney Ottow had 12 digs. Cassie Swinney handed out eight assists.
Coach Brooks stated the team played much better on Thursday after starting out with two tough matches at home. "We served and passed the ball really well. Our timing between hitters and our setters still isn't quite there yet so our offense is no where near what it should be, but we played much better. It was a little closer than it should have been, but we controlled most of the match and even got to play some younger players, which was nice", stated Brooks.
The Lady Bulldogs return to action on Sept. 1 at 6:30 at James L. Robb Gymnasium when they host conference foe Virginia Intermont.
