The Tennessee Wesleyan women's soccer team was eliminated in the opening round of the NAIA National Championship tournament Saturday, after dropping a 3-0 decision to host University of Northwestern Ohio.
The Lady Bulldogs had an early goal disallowed for a foul in the box. TWU defense stayed strong until the 37th minute when scored. A shot which sailed to the corner of the goal just over McKenna Loges head allowed UNOH to take a 1-0 intermission lead. UNOH was credited with a second score when the ball was deflected by a TWU defender, resulting in an own-goal, and added the final goal with 14 minutes to play.
The Racers advance with a 19-2-1 record, while the Lady Bulldogs finished with a 13-6-2 season record.
