The Bulldogs got another conference win on Saturday defeating Bryan 74-63 increasing their AAC record to 9-6. TWU is currently in 4th place in the conference, with Union leading at 14-0- followed by Reinhardt, 11-4 and Montreat, also at 9-6.
The scoring pace was slow to begin the first half with Tennessee Wesleyan clinging to a 21-20 lead when Keno Jones buried a 3-pointer at the 6:49 mark. Jordan Hall followed with two free throws and Q.D. Cox a bucket, opening an eight-point gap, 28-20. Jones added a second trey, Kenny Dean a "3" and Tre Tiller a three-point play to highlight the final four minutes, allowing TWU to lead 43-28 at the half.
The advantage was as much as 22 (55-33) and never less than the final 11-point margin in the second half.
Eleven Bulldogs scored in the game, led by Jordan Hall with 13 points and five assists. Tiller had 11 points, eight rebounds and Dean 10 points.
The Bulldogs will travel to Point University on Wednesday for a 7:30 pm tipoff, then return home on Saturday to host Fisk University at 4:00 pm.
