The Bulldogs suffered another conference loss on Saturday to the Knights, 67-65.
Tennessee Wesleyan held a 24-15 advantage on a bucket by Will Gardner at the 8:22 mark, but the Knights made a 13-3 run over the next five minutes to slip in front, 28-27. Aundre Reid, Johnson Decembre, Jordan Hall and Q.D. Cox had two points each as the Bulldogs regained control to lead 36-28 at the half.
The margin shrank to two and grew to eight, 50-42, before the Knights started chipping away, eventually taking the lead at 57-56 with 7:28 remaining. Two free throws from Justin Simmons; a bucket by Cox and a pair of Decembre charity tosses knotted the score at 61, 63 and, finally, 65, with 35 seconds remaining. St. Andrews answered with a bucket by Connor Zinaich and Tennessee Wesleyan missed three chances to tie or take the lead in the final 13 seconds.
Johnson Decembre had 12 points and Q.D. Cox put in 11 for the Bulldogs.
Tennessee Wesleyan will host Allen University on Wednesday night at 7:30 pm.
