The Bulldogs traveled to Chattanooga this weekend to play in the AAC Championships.
In the first round, No. 3 seed TWU faced Union College and won by a score of 5-0. In the semifinals, Tennessee Wesleyan scored a 5-2 victory to upset second-seeded SCAD Atlanta.
In the finals, the Bulldogs feel 5-4 in a thrilling match to the Eagles of Reinhardt.
Reinhardt led the match 4-3 when the storm came in and the athletes had to move to indoor facilities with the No. 1 and No. 6 singles match left to finish.
Tennessee Wesleyan evened the match at 4-4 as it won the No. 6 singles match. After splitting the first two sets, Reinhardt's Fabio Pereira led Borja Perez of Tennessee Wesleyan 5-2 in the third set. However, Perez fought back to even the frame at 5-all before Pereira closed out the set, winning 7-5.
