Tennessee Wesleyan University Head Baseball Coach Travis Watson has announced his resignation following two years of service. His resignation is effective immediately, as he leaves to pursue other interests.
"TWU appreciates the contributions Travis Watson made in his two years of service to the institution," TWU Director of Athletics Donny Mayfield said. "We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors."
As head coach, Watson continued the tradition of Bulldog baseball success, as the team won the 2016 and 2017 AAC Baseball Championships. In Watson's first season, the Bulldogs advanced to their fourth Avista NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho. Mayfield says the search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
