Michael Alread
Tennessee Wesleyan's Men's Golf team captured the team title in the 2009 Virginia Intermont Fall Invitational golf tournament, Tuesday at Cattails Golf Club in Kingsport, TN.
Lead by Michael Alread and Zack Cole the Bulldogs edged out Milligan College by 2 shots to win the title. TWC had a two day total of 592 to edge Milligan's score of 594. More importantly, Wesleyan gained the lead for the regular season conference title with two rounds remaining to be played in the spring, hosted by Bluefield College. Michael Alread finished in a tie for 2nd place with scores of 72-73 while Zack Cole finished 4th with scores of 72-74. The Bulldogs will be back in action Oct. 9th and 10th at the Maryville College Invitational.
