Wills Watkins scored goal against King to send the game into overtime
Athens, TN-The Bulldogs soccer team played hard against a tough team from King College.  Mitchell Slawson scored at the 7:01 minute and also at the 23:07 minute that allowed the Bulldogs to have a half time lead 2-1. King added two goals in the second half.  Tennessee Wesleyan answered with another goal by Will Watkins at the 51:20 mark of regulation to tie the game 3-3 and send it into overtime.  King scored one goal in overtime to capture the win 4-3. 
Miguel Valadez at goal had seven saves and Cory Ferrell one save.  The next matchup for the Bulldogs will be Saturday when they return to conference play at Milligan.  Milligan is currently leading the AAC standings with a conference record of 5-1. The Bulldogs are now 7-7-1 overall and 2-4 in conference play.
 
Highlight:  The game tying goal by Will Watkins (Athens, TN) (transfer from UTC) was his first in a Bulldog uniform. 
 
Note:  In the 2008 season King defeated TWC in the regular season 3-0 and matched up again in the AAC Tournament Quarter Finals.  King also won the tournament matchup 2-1.
