ATHENS, TN-In the first conference matchup of the season the Bulldogs defeated Virginia Intermont 88-85 handing VI their second conference loss. The game was close with the Bulldog lead 32-28 at the half. Both teams scored evenly during the second half as VI scored 57 points and TWC scored 56 in the half. VI pulled to within nine at the 5:58 minute but the Bulldogs kept fighting for the win.
With three Bulldogs scoring double digits, Jesse Booher led all scorers with a career high 25 points. Matt Harper and Matt Towry chipped in 15 points each.
The Bulldogs improved to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in conference action. The Bulldogs are slated to play again on November 28th in an exhibition game at Murray State University.
