The Tennessee Wesleyan College women's soccer program signed their first 2010 recruit, Abby Fannin from Pickerington, OH. Abby played for the Pickerington North High School Lady Panthers, two years at the Varsity Level. Abby was a starting defender and midfielder and was elected 2nd Team All League both her junior and senior years. She was selected to play in the Ohio Club High School Senior Spotlight Game at the beginning of the season and was chosen as the game MVP.
Abby was selected for the ODP Ohio South State Team in 2009 and has played at the top club level (Ambassador Classic Soccer Club Team) in Ohio traveling across the country to showcases and tournaments.
"Abby has pace, skill, vision, passion, and a great work ethic and we are excited she chose TWC for her college soccer career. She entertained some good offers from other schools and we are extremely excited to have her become a Lady Bulldog." says Coach Clarke. "We will be looking to use her defensively and wherever needed in our offense next season, I imagine she will come in and make a big impact as a freshman, she holds as much promise as any of the players we have been able to commit to the program in my time here. I am very excited for 2010."
Abby is very excited about continuing her soccer career at Tennessee Wesleyan as a Lady Bulldog and is interested in pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.
