TWC Bulldogs hosted UVA-Wise last night in AAC action.  The Bulldogs scored the first two points but quickly the lead changed with the Cavaliers ahead 18-8.   The Bulldogs were able to score the next 10 points to tie the game at 18-18.  The Bulldogs were able to hold onto a narrow led at halftime with a score of 30-29.   
After the Cavalier went ahead 38-37 with a bucket by Adam Hood, the Bulldogs knocked down 9 straight points to take the lead 46-38.  The Cavaliers spent the rest of the half trying to catch up but in the end the Bulldogs won with a score of 78-67. 
 
Sean Bridges and Quincy Scates led the Bulldogs in scoring each with 14 points. Matt Towry also contributed 12 points to the Bulldog win.  Matt Harper pulled down 7 rebounds.
 
Travis Berry was the led scorer for UVA-Wise with 16 points.
 
With the win against UVA-Wise, the TWC Bulldogs are now tied for the lead in the Appalachian Athletic Conference with Reinhardt College, Bryan College, and Union College, KY.
 
The Bulldogs host Union College, KY on Saturday, January 9th at 4:00 pm at James L. Robb Gymnasium.
