Tennessee Wesleyan hosted Tennessee Temple from Chattanooga, TN on Monday night in a nonconference matchup.  The Bulldogs took an early lead in the first half with a 3 point shot by E'Jay Ward.  Tennessee Temple made good attempts throughout the first half to keep up with the Bulldogs and even pulling ahead at times.  The Bulldogs got their biggest lead of 12 points at 2:43 left when a 3 point field goal was made by Sean Bridges.   The Bulldogs ended the half ahead by 11 points with a score of 47-36. 
Tennessee Temple came out of the locker room strong putting up 13 straight points and taking the lead 49-47.     The rest of the half became a battle between the two teams to get the lead, however Tennessee Temple controlled most of the half.  With 2:56 left in the game the Bulldogs were within one point after Sean Bridges made a 3 point shot.  A foul was called on E'Jay Ward and Jarrett Smith of Tennessee Temple was put at the line.  He made one of two extending the lead to 2 points.   In the next Bulldog possession, E'Jay Ward put up a 3 but missed and Temple got the rebound.  Both teams continued to make field goals keeping Wesleyan within 2.  With 23 seconds left, Wesleyan had a chance to tie or take the lead but E'Jay Ward turned over the ball and then a foul was called on Matt Harper.   Johnnie McLawhorn of Temple made one and missed one at the free throw line giving Temple a 3 point lead.  E'Jay Ward took the ball down the court and missed a 3 point shot that would have tied the game.  A foul was called on Matt Harper and Tennessee Temple ended the game with a 5 point lead.  The final score of the game was 83-88. 
 
Matt Towry led all scorers with 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.  Sean Bridges contributed 16 points, while Jesse Booher had 13, E'Jay Ward had 12 and Clarence Threat had 10 points.
