Shalonda Fugh and Dimon Darden have signed their letter of intent to play Volleyball at Tennessee Wesleyan College. Fugh and Darden were the only two seniors for the East Ridge Lady Pioneers and finished their stellar careers with great senior seasons. Both were great team leaders on the floor playing all the way around and hitting from the outside and middle positions.

Fugh was a three year starter on the squad and a two time member of the all-district and all-region teams. She had 391 kills, 108 blocks, 20 aces, and 315 digs last season.

Darden was also a three year starter and a two time member of the all-district and all-region teams. She tallied 339 kills, 70 blocks, 109 aces, and 145 digs in her final season.

"They are talented enough to make a difference in a program at the next level." East Ridge Coach Catherine Neely said. "Over the years they have worked hard, stuck it out and invested a lot of time to be better players."

"We are extremely excited that Dimon and Shalonda have decided to continue their careers at Tennessee Wesleyan College," stated Head Coach Toby Brooks. "We are not only getting two good players but also two student-athletes with great character who will bring a lot to our program on and off the floor."

Shalonda will be majoring in Criminal Justice, while Dimon will be working toward a degree in pre-med.
