Tennessee Wesleyan College Athletic teams worked together to help with relief efforts for Haiti.   On January 12, 2010, a major earthquake hit in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti causing massive destruction.   United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) asked for help in providing health kits to be shipped to Haiti.  Health kits provide basic necessities to people who have been forced to leave their homes because of human conflict or natural disaster. Health kits are also used as learning tools in personal hygiene, literacy, nutrition and cooking classes. Tennessee Wesleyan teams were able to put together 60 health kits that could be shipped to UMCOR.   The athletes also collected money for Red Cross that would be used for relief efforts for Haiti.  The athletes collected $200 to be sent.
