The Bulldogs remain on top of the AAC standings after a win over Montreat at home last night. The Bulldogs played like the team to beat in the conference weathering Montreat's early lead of 26-18 after the first 12 minutes of play. The Bulldogs ended the half strong by outscoring the Cavaliers of Montreat 30-7.
The Bulldogs were able to stretch the 15 point lead the had to end the game with a final margin of 89-67. The Bulldogs were able to show that they can play hard on both ends of the court and transition quickly which proved to be a problem for Montreat.

The Bulldogs had five that scored in double figures including Matt Towry who led all scorers with 15 points. The others included Justin Hicks with 14, Jesse Booher with 13, Clarence Threat with 12, and Matt Harper with 11 points. Harper also pulled down 9 rebounds for the Bulldogs.
The win for the Bulldogs gives them a two game lead in the conference over Reinhardt with a record of 9-1 in the conference.
The Bulldogs host Bryan College on Wednesday, February 3rd at 7:30 pm.
