The Women's tennis team will be traveling to Belmont University in Nashville to kick off the 2010 season. The Lady Bulldogs return their top player from 2009 in Karolina Pierko.
Last year, Pierko was dominate as she finished with an 11-0 record in singles and a 10-1 record in doubles. She was named Co-Conference Player of the Year in the Appalachian Athletic Conference by the tennis coaches. Karolina will be a co-captain this year along with fellow senior Kayla Foster. Foster has improved tremendously since her arrival at Tennessee Wesleyan and will be assuming a much larger role on this years team.
Meghan Whaley and Allie Smith are both freshman that will need to make an immediate impact for the 2010 team to be successful. Marrisa Morris will give the Lady Bulldogs much needed depth while Spencer Creekmore should round out the starting lineup.
