Women's Lacrosse went up against NCAA Division II Erskine College on February 17th. The Lady Bulldogs had determination and drive in order to win over Erskine 10-8. Emily Clevenger, co-captain, had 2 goals and 2 assists and is the current leader in points for the team. Erica Turgeon was the scoring leader for the game with 3 goals. Whitney Dixe had 2 goals and 3 assists. Cassie Romeo, a first year player, had one goal as well as
Marina Tharin, another first year player. Tess Sasse, co-captain, had one goal and one assist. Coach Kelam is excited about this win as it is a big one for such a young program.
In the previous game against Vanderbilt on Saturday February 13th, the Lady Bulldogs lost
11-8. Erica Turgeon, Whitney Dixe, Christine Hatton, and Tess Sasse all contributed 2 goals. Emily Clevenger had two assists, while Marina Tharin, Whitney Dixe, and Tess Sasse each had one.
The Lady Bulldogs (1 win, 2 losses) will be playing their next game away on March 6th against Missouri Baptist College at 10:00 am.
