The JV softball team opened the 2010 season with a home split against University of the Cumberlands. In game 1 the Lady Bulldogs pounded out 9 hits but could only push across 2 runs in a 2-3 defeat. Ashley Miller went the distance on the mound taking the tough luck loss allowing 3 runs on only 4 hits. Trailing 2-3 heading into the bottom of the 7^th TWC loaded the bases but could not get the big two out hit. The Lady Bulldogs were lead at the plate by Courtney Farmer, April Wilson, and Kaiti Hubbard with 2 hits each.

Game 2 saw the Lady Bulldogs jump on top early and then hold on down the stretch behind a strong pitching performance from Brittany Monday for a 5-2 victory. TWC got a run in the 3^rd on a two out RBI double by Kaylyn Maxwell and then scored 4 more in the 4^th with the big blow coming on a 2 run double by Kourtney Burris.   Burris, Emily Grady, and Brittnie Hester each went 2 for 3 in the game to lead the Bulldogs at the plate. Brittany Monday got the win on the mound pitching a complete game 6 hitter while striking out 8. The JV team will play next on Thursday, February 25th at Lee University starting at 2:00pm.
