C.J. McElroy hits a homerun on Saturday
The Bulldogs traveled on Saturday to Nashville to play Bethel College (IN) on neutral turf and then returned home to play Georgetown College on Sunday.  The Bulldogs swept all three games winning 17-6 over Bethel, then 7-2 and 9-0 over Georgetown College. 
 
On Saturday the Bulldogs started out strong scoring four in the first, two in the second, and one in the third to take the lead 7-1. The Bulldogs went scoreless in the fourth while Bethel had one run.  In the fifth, the Bulldogs sealed the victory with 10 runs to go up 17-2.  Bethel scored 2 in the bottom of the fifth and then two more in the 7th.  The game was called in the 7th under the 10-run rule and the Bulldogs took the win 17-6,
 
Cody Gaskill led the 19-hit attack with four hits, including a pair of doubles and a triple driving home six runs.   Max Loveland, Brad Pippa, and David Lindsay each had 3 hits while Michael Whiteford added two.  C.J. McElroy hit a home run for the Bulldogs.   Johnny Smith, Brad Pippa, C.J. McElroy, and Kurtis Bramlett each had two RBI's.   Hamilton Bennett picked up the win pitching five innings only giving up four runs on six hits with four strikeouts and one walk.  Freddie Lewis and Ronald Phelps each pitched one inning of relief. 
 
On Sunday, in game one the Bulldogs score two in the first and then on in the second to take the early lead.   Georgetown was able to score one in the third, but the Bulldogs answered in the next inning scoring 4 more to go up 7-1.   Georgetown was able to score one more in the 7th.    Max Loveland and C.J. McElroy each had three of Wesleyan's 12 hits with McElroy driving in two runs.  Johnny Smith and Cody Gaskill added two hits each.  Troy Graybill was the winner, surrendering one run over five innings on five hits with four strikeouts and two walks.  Drew Housewright pitched one inning of scoreless relief with one strikeout and Matt Brennan allowed one run with a strikeout in the seventh.
 
In game two, the Bulldogs went up 4-0 in the second with a double by Rafael Carlott, a walk, two errors and Johnny Smith's single.   The Bulldogs scored four more in the fifth from singles by Max Loveland, Brad Pippa, and Rafael Carlot, along with a two run double by C.J. McElroy.   Wesleyan had 10 hits, 3 from Rafael Carlot and 2 by Johnny Smith. Cody Gaskill and C.J. McElroy each had 2 RBIs.  Jason Crowell tossed the first six innings, giving up three hits with 6 strikeouts and 3 walks.   Jeremy Kimsey allowed a one-out triple in the 7th, but completed the shutout by getting a fly ball to second and striking out the final batter.
 
The Bulldogs will play Tennessee Temple at home on Thursday at 2:00 pm.  The Bulldogs will then start AAC action this weekend against Virginia Intermont with a double header on Saturday starting at 12:00 pm and a single game on Sunday at 2:00 pm.
