NASHVILLE - Tennessee Wesleyan College's recent slide continued Wednesday with their third straight loss and fifth setback in seven games, failing to score for the first time this season in a 5-0 shutout at Trevecca Nazarene University.

The Bulldogs had just five hits, two each from Rafael Carlot and David Lindsay.  Hamilton Bennett took the loss, giving up three runs on eight hits while striking out five and walking one over 6 2/3 inniings.

Wesleyan (17-8 overall) will try to improve on a 4-2 Appalachian Athletic Conference mark when they host Bryan College, starting with a 2 p.m. game Friday. A doubleheader will complete the three-game set starting at noon Saturday.
