
The Bulldogs hosted their last SELC game on Sunday against Georgia State. With this win, the Bulldogs have clinched the top spot in the SELC Division II remaining undefeated 5-0 in conference play and 8-2 overall. With Ryan Horvath scoring 6 goals in the game he leads the SELC Division II with goals per game averaging 4.70. John Lemoine is tied for 3rd in the conference for saves with a percentage of .685.
The Bulldogs started off the game scoring 5 goals in the first period while holding Georgia State to just one. The Bulldogs continued scoring with 4 goals in the 2nd period and 3 goals in the 3rd. The Bulldogs held the Panthers of Georgia State to one goal in each of those periods so that they went into the 4th period with a lead of 12-3. The 4th period ended with the Bulldogs scoring 6 more and holding the Panthers at their 3 goals. The Bulldogs finished the game with a score of 18-3.
Ryan Horvath led the team with 6 goals and 2 assists. Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Austin Tosky and Mason Onstott each scoring 3 goals. Justin Bell had two goals, while Anthony Hunt, John Isler, Michael McNitt, and Taylor Parker each had one. Parker also had 4 assists to help the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs travel to Appalachian State on April 10th and to Vanderbilt on April 17th. The Bulldogs will play at home at McMinn County High School against University of TN on April 20th at 7:00 pm.
