With junior lefthander Troy Graybill going the distance, Wesleyan opened the series using a 14-hit attack to thump the Cavaliers 11-5 and then posted a 3-0 victory behind the no-hit pitching of junior lefthander Matt McCracken. Union currently stands in first place in the AAC standings. Also in the standings, Milligan (18-8, 9-2) is tied with Wesleyan for second with Bluefield (15-7-1, 7-3-1) fourth, followed by Reinhardt (13-12, 5-6), Bryan (13-19, 5-7), Covenant (9-9, 4-7), Montreat (9-15-1, 2-8-1), UVA-Wise (7-12, 2-8) and Virginia Intermont (8-15, 1-10).

The Cavaliers cut deficits of 3-0 and 6-2 to a single run before the Bulldogs pulled away with three runs in the sixth and added two more in the seventh. For the offense, Max Loveland had two hits with three runs scored; Johnny Smith two hits with two runs scored and two RBIs; Cody Gaskill a hit, run scored and RBI; Ryan Santos two hits with an RBI; Rafael Carlot two hits with a run scored and three RBIs, C.J. McElroy two hits and two runs scored and Kurtis Bramlett at home run. Graybill improved to 6-1 on the season, allowing five runs on 10 hits while striking out five and walking one.

Wesleyan got the only run they would need in the third and added two insurance runs in the fifth. McCracken remained unbeaten at 4-0 with his no-hit gem, striking out seven and walking three. Wesleyan had seven hits - Gaskill a double; Smith an RBI single; Loveland a hit with two runs scored and McElroy two hits.
Following a non-conference date at Tennessee Temple Thursday, April 1st, Wesleyan (23-9 overall, 9-2 AA) will host league-leading Union College (21-6, 10-1) for a three-game series with a single game at 2 p.m. Friday and a doubleheader Saturday starting at 1 p.m.
