The Lady Bulldogs played a double header at home against AAC rival Bluefield College on Saturday. The Lady Bulldogs pulled out 2 wins to increase their AAC record to 8-6.  The Lady Bulldogs won the first game 3-2 in 8 innings and the second game 3-0. 

In the first game, Bluefield took an early 2-0 lead when a 2 run homer was hit in the first inning. The Lady Bulldogs came back to score one in the fifth and one in the seventh to tie it up. Wesleyan held Bluefied to the two run and scored the third one in the 8^th inning.  Ashton Burrell led the team going 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Rachele Moretto went 2 for 3.  Brittany Fox was the winning pitcher going 8 inning, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and striking out 7. 

The Lady Bulldogs turned the tables in the second game taking an early lead scoring one in the first and then one in the 3^rd.   Although the Lady Rams were able to get some hits, the Lady Bulldog defense held them to no runs. Wesleyan took the win 3-0.    Sunni Jackson went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and an RBI for the Lady Bulldogs.  Kanissa Webb went 2 for 3.  Paige Goins was the winning pitcher going 7 innings giving up 0 runs on 5 hits while striking out 6. 

The Lady Bulldogs play on Tuesday, April 13 against Milligan at home beginning at 2:00 pm.  They will then travel to Trevecca Nazarene on Thursday to play at 5:00 pm.
