Last week, Tennessee Wesleyan College Men's Soccer coaches Stephen Lyons and Martyn Blankley traveled the short distance up the road to Englewood to sign two McMinn Central High School seniors. Goalkeeper Slade Bown and forward Stefan Chamberlin will join TWC in the fall.

TWC Head Men's Soccer coach Stephen Lyons said of the signings "it's great to have two local guys sign with us." Bown is the starting keeper and Chamberlin can play in the midfield or attack. Coach Lyons stated that "they came and worked out with us in the fall and both did well".

McMinn Central Soccer coach Bill McConkey said of his seniors "they (TWC) are getting two of my best seniors, they are both hard workers and great in the classroom."

They will join former Central team mate Joe Self next season at TWC.
