The 2011 NAIA Baseball Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll was released on Tuesday. The Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldogs were ranked 14th. This is the 7th consecutive year of being ranked in the pre season poll and the 5th consecutive year of being ranked in the top 15. The Bulldogs received their highest pre season ranking in 2008 when they were 10th.
Tennessee Wesleyan finished the 2010 season ranked No. 24 and went on to advance to Avista-NAIA World Series for the first time in program history. Tennessee Wesleyan 325 total points, 15 fewer than No. 13 LSU Shreveport and 37 more than No. 15 Fresno Pacific (Calif.).
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the 25 conferences, independents and unaffiliated groups. The first-regular season poll of the 2011 season will be announced on March 29.
