Athens, Tenn. - Tennessee Wesleyan College baseball coach Billy Berry announced the 2011 schedule this week, which features 31 home games, and four opponents ranked in the 2011 NAIA Baseball Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll.

The Bulldogs, ranked No. 14 in the Coaches' Preseason Poll announced two weeks ago, open the season February 1st at Shorter College in Rome, GA. TWC will be at home for a twelve game home stand starting February 4-5 vs. the likes of Shawnee State, Lee University, Indiana Tech, and Brescia University. The Bulldogs will head to Nashville to face Trevecca University for a midweek game before returning home to close out the month against Saint Francis University in a three game set.

Tennessee Wesleyan will travel south for spring break to take on Saint Frances - Illinois, Marian, and Saint Thomas. They will conclude their trip with two games against Embry Riddle then head home for Appalachian Athletic Conference action March 12-13 at Jack Bowling Field against Montreat College. Rival Union College will await the club for a three-game series in Barboursville, Kentucky on March 19-20.

In all the Bulldogs will play nine games against teams ranked in the Preseason Top 25; Lee University, Embry Riddle, Cumberland, and Faulkner. In addition the Bulldogs will play another 11 contests against teams in the receiving vote's category of the Preseason Poll, including Indiana Tech, Trevecca, Saint Francis - Illinois, Saint Thomas, and Union College.

Three clubs on the schedule participated in the 2010 NAIA World Series - Lee (National Runner Up), Embry Riddle, and Cumberland (2010 National Champions) - while five others played in the 2010 Championship Opening Round - Indiana Tech, Saint Francis - Illinois, Saint Thomas, and Faulkner University.
