The Bulldogs go into the Christmas break 6-7 after a loss at Lee University on Saturday.
The Bulldogs were down 34-24 at half and the deficit was too much for the Bulldogs to make up. The Flames of Lee University continued to make plays and score buckets, while the Bulldogs were unable to get the ball to go in. The Bulldogs went on a run in the last few minutes but it wasn't enough leaving them with an 89-73 loss.
The Bulldogs shot 30 of 87 in field goals, while the flames shot at 46%. Tennessee Wesleyan was out rebounded 51-42. TWC got 13 free chances, all in the second half, and converted seven. Wesleyan was guilty of 16 floor mistakes.
Big Matt Towry came back from first half foul problems and paced the Bulldogs with 21 points. Sean Bridges added 11 markers and Dylan Powers added 10. E'Jay Ward had six steals.
The Bulldogs return after Christmas to begin Conference play. They start with a road trip to Milligan on January 5th and then play Montret at home on the 8th.
