The Bulldogs snapped a seven-game losing streak with an 82-67 decision over the Lions of Young Harris on Monday Night .
The teams traded points through the first 10 minutes and were knotted at 18 before TWC took control. Isaiah Kirk's dunk, a three-point play by Matt Towry and trey from Jesse Booher started a 17-0 run. Justin Hicks had a bucket and E'Jay Ward scored off a steal before Matt Harper had a tip-in and 3-pointer to put the 'Dogs on top, 35-18. Booher then drained three 3-pointers in the final two minutes and Wesleyan led 48-27 at the break.
Sean Bridges nailed a "3" and Towry a dunk as the Bulldogs stormed to a 64-31 advantage with 12 minutes to play. Young Harris regrouped, but never came closer than the final 15-point margin of victory.
Towry led four Bulldogs in double figures with 19 points and also collected nine rebounds. Harper added 17 points, Booher 12 and Bridges 10. Ward chipped in with seven points and dished out eight assists.
The Bulldogs return to AAC action on Wednesday with a trip to Montreat College. The Bulldogs then play at home on Saturday against Reinhardt University at 4:00 pm.
