Lady Bulldogs still undefeated on the road

The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Bluefield College on Wednesday night to clinch their 11th conference win and 15th in a row. Tennessee Wesleyan defeated the Rams of Bluefield 71-62.
The Lady Bulldogs started the first half trailing by as much as 8 until halfway through when Amy Jo Castor, Rochelle Davidson, and Heather Gibson all put in field goals to take the lead 20-19. Bluefield was able to tie it up two more times, but at 4:05 left in the half, Cody Houck put in a field goal to clinch the lead for the remainder of the game. The Lady Bulldogs led by 3 (37-34) at half.
In the second half the Lady Bulldogs began to extend the lead to 9 at 16:15, 10 at 2:30, and 11 at 00:42. The Rams tried to come back with finals fouls and field goals, but the Lady Bulldogs won 71-62.
Amy Jo Castor led the Lady Bulldogs with 19 points. Leah Frazier had 15 points and 8 rebounds, while Heather Gibson put in 13 points and also pulled down 8 rebounds. The Lady Bulldogs out rebounded the Rams 46-34, but had 15 turnovers.
The Lady Bulldogs play Bryan College on Saturday at 2:00 pm and will celebrate Senior Day.
