Lady Bulldogs honor seniors, Brittany Steen and Amy Jo Castor

Bryan College traveled across the river to take on the Lady Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan College. The Lady Bulldogs are currently ranked #18 in the nation and are undefeated in the conference. The Lady Lions battled hard, but the Lady Bulldogs won in the end by a final score of 64-54.


The Lady Bulldogs were ahead 36-23 going into the locker room at halftime. In the second half, the Lady Lions of Bryan picked up the offense and outscored the Lady Bulldogs 31-28, but the deficit at half proved to be enough to get the win. The two teams recorded the same number of rebounds, 35, and turnovers, 13, for the game.

Leah Frazier led the Lady Bulldogs with 16 points. Heather Gibson and Candace Cain each put in 11 points. Candace Cain pulled down 9 rebounds while Gibson had 8. Also scoring in double digits was Amy Jo Castor with 10 points. 

The Bulldogs will play the rest of the regular season AAC action on the road with a game on Wednesday at Union College and on Saturday at Virginia Intermont. The Lady Bulldogs will return home for the Quarterfinal round of the AAC tournament on Tuesday, February 22nd
